I'm Matthew De Silva, the Founder of Hydrion Technologies. My background is in Chemical Engineering, and for the past eight years I've been heavily involved in advanced waterproofing and concrete treatment systems.

Hydrion was originally built around Hydro Tech Resin technology developed by my late father, Dr. Mark De Silva. Over the years, I've focused on modernizing, refining, and scaling that technology into a high-performance waterproofing system designed to solve structural problems at their source — instead of temporarily covering them up.

What makes us different is our approach to concrete densification and deep-penetration waterproofing. We focus on long-term structural protection rather than short-term surface coatings, which is a major issue in the conventional waterproofing industry.

One of our biggest milestones was having our technology validated by the University of Peradeniya, making Hydrion one of the most scientifically backed waterproofing systems in the local market.

Today, my focus is on continuous innovation, product development, and scaling Hydrion Technologies into a globally recognized waterproofing brand. My long-term vision is to export high-performance Sri Lankan-engineered waterproofing technologies to international markets — helping generate foreign exchange for the country while proving that locally developed technology can compete on a global level.
